Every Dollar Tour

Gilbert Stuart Birthplace Museum built in 1751 gives you a glimpse of where the great artist was born and began his life before his famous portrait of George Washington graced the front of every dollar seen in America today. While visiting the museum you will also see America’s first snuff mill. Enjoy lunch at the Coast Guard House after visiting the Towers of Narragansett Casino designed by McKim, Mead, & White. The Narragansett Trolley will provide you with a narrated tour of St. Peter’s by the Sea Church stained glass window, where John Wilkes Booth used to prepare for his plays. Then, tour Smith’s Castle, the original trading post established by Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island, and Richard Smith.
