Kayaks & Clams

Take a guided kayak tour with Narrow River Kayaks in the John H. Chafee Wildlife Preserve located at the mouth of Narrow River by the Narragansett Town Beach. You will spot local wildlife in the tidal inlet, salt marsh, estuary and fresh water pond. We then visit George's of Galilee, renown for its use of local shellfish in its signature dishes like clamcakes and clam chowder. Then it's off to the Matunuck Oyster Bar, a 7 acre shellfish farm growing local oysters and littlenecks. The life cycle of the shellfish as well as nursery and grow-out methods are explained.
