ACGOW Presents The Annual All Members’ Show

  • Each October, the Elected and Associate Artists of the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly come together to display work reflecting the diversity and beauty of the season, as well as its membership. The Annual All-Members Exhibit presents the perfect opportunity to view the colors of fall and the bounties of the artists’ rich harvests, portrayed in landscapes, abstracts, photography, street scenes and three-dimensional art of all kinds. All are invited to meet the artists at the Annual All Members Show’s Opening Reception on Friday October 7 from 5-8PM. Food and wine will be served. Gallery visitors will discover a unique selection of paintings, pottery, glasswork, works in wood, fiber art and more. With work from Associate as well as Elected members, the juxtaposition of so many significantly different artists and approaches makes October’s show one not to be missed. And of course, as always at the Artists’ Cooperative, shopping is tax-free. Gallery visitors are invited to check out all the new items in The ACGOW Gallery Shop, located in the west wing. The Shop features an array of small, affordable works including framed and unframed prints, cards, candles, miniature paintings, bookmarks, colorful coasters, wine glasses and fine collectibles. The Gallery recognizes its duty to care for its members and the community it serves and is taking all necessary RI COVID health precautions. ACGOW exhibits a new show every month featuring the highest quality original artwork from its approximately 50 elected artist members. Updates are made available on the Gallery’s website, For more information call (401) 596-2221 during regular business hours or visit ACGOW’s Facebook site or Instagram @westerlyarts. Slow Stitching Workshop Patricia Cheyne will teach a Slow Stitching workshop on October 17 and 24 from 10-1pm. Fees are $80 for members, $110 for non-members. Slow Stitch is a celebration of the longtime art of hand sewing, using old and new materials to patch, appliqué, and mend.
