This month, meet jewelry making artist, Dora Szekely, who began her jewelry designing in Italy prior to crafting in downtown Westerly. Friday, September 13, 5 pm – 6 pm in the Ocean House Lobby: Meet Dora and learn how she creates her unique pieces using ethically sourced metals and handpicked gemstones from Cambodia. Saturday, September 14, 9 am – 11 am at the School House Cottage: Enjoy an introductory jewelry class to learn how to create two pairs of custom earrings. Sunday, September 15, 9 am – 11 am at the School House Cottage: Enjoy a chance to speak with Dora, learn more about her craft, and a gallery show of her pieces. Learn more about her journey with custom jewelry design and running her own business, “Liv and Love”: Ethical, Eco, and Custom Jewelry. Coffee, Tea, and Baked Goods will be Available. Sunday, September 15, 2 pm – 4 pm Drawing Room: Dora Szekely discusses her personal journey from first designing custom jewelry in Italy and continuing her craft here in Westerly.
