Wakefield Rotary Club presents the 38th annual Narragansett Art Festival on Saturday June 20, 2020 and Sunday June 21, 2020 from 9:am to 6:pm. It takes place at Veterans Park, 35 Ocean Road, next to the historic Towers. The art festival is a non-juried high quality fine art exhibition, managed by volunteers since 1982. Over 60 artists return from previous years, from New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Sandra Cutting, Chair of the event, said recently, "that the Wakefield Rotary Club's 38 annual Art Festival is a highlight of the summer season in South County". Annual Fine Art Only show featuring over 60 artists exhibiting oils & acrylics, watercolors & pastels, drawing & graphics, photography, sculpture, and other media. No crafts, jewelry, clothing, furniture, pottery, or functional items. The location is Veterans Park at the Historic Towers in Narragansett Pier,overlooking beautiful Narragansett Bay... where you can also enjoy a variety of invited food vendors, and find a spot under one of several shade tents provided for festival goers. The net proceeds from the artists' registration fees support the Wakefield Rotary Clubs' scholarship program to local high school graduates.
