Back after 14 years! Join the Gilbert Stuart Birthplace for the return of the end-of-season Fall Fair. The historic Hammond Grist Mill will be running, grinding corn as it has done since 1757. Take one last peek around Gilbert Stuart’s birthplace before they close for winter; you can even have a chat with the man himself, as David Ely reprises his performance as Gilbert Stuart. Enjoy apple cider and donuts, live music, crafts and games, and a fifty-fifty raffle. Immerse yourself in autumn with a walk through the woods on the nature trails, or follow in Washington’s footsteps and have your portrait done (in a much quicker session) by caricature artist Dave MacDonald from Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
