Quilt and Textile Day at the Paine House Museum

  • Join the Paine House Museum again this year for a day of historical textiles. Spend time with spinners from the RI Spinners Guild as they demonstrate their 18th century craft and try your hand a weaving and spinning. See the Barn Loom in action and learn about weaving flax, hemp and wool. View their historic quilt collection as you tour the house. This is a family friendly event with many interesting things to see, do and learn! Children’s activities include weaving, skirting fleece and using a drop spindle. Admission includes House tours and light refreshments with all proceeds going to the upkeep of Paine House museum building, it’s collections and grounds. $10/adult, $5/child
