    The documentary, from filmmakers Chris Walsh and Betty-Jo Cugini, explores the cherished Westerly tradition brought from Calabria, Italy. “Westerly’s Gold” takes a deep dive into the art of making soppressata, or “soupy” as the locals call it, a flavorful cured meat that symbolizes more than just culinary skill.
