We sell traditional drinks and a series of some of the most creative coffees you won’t find anywhere else. Our wizards, sorry, we mean baristas – nearly gave the game away! – are always coming up with creative caffeine concoctions that will have you longing for a cup full.
We also magic up other warm and cold beverages to satisfy those with a sweet tooth or to keep customers on track with their fitness goals! These drinks are just as creative as our coffees and can be made even better by a tasty snack or even some handmade gelato. Conveniently, the best time of day for gelato is the time we open – so come on down, bring a friend or a date, and get to know our menu a little better!

At face value, we are a coffee shop providing our regulars and out-of-town visitors with quality coffee, other drinks, snacks, handmade gelato and more. However, we are much more than the regular coffee shops Westerly, RI, has to offer.
One of the most unique things about our menu is the level of creativity that goes into each drink. We don’t stray away from the trusty classics you’ve been enjoying for years. We love to start the day with a cappuccino as much as the next person – but we also like to try new combinations of flavors or just add other tasty treats to coffee that you will never have thought of before. Don’t worry! Once you discover a new favorite you can make up for lost time with us!
The other thing about Junk and Java that makes us unique is that we like to create a community atmosphere and make sure everyone has a memorable experience with us. We are a dog-friendly second home to locals who have been adopted as part of the Junk and Java family.
Along with our selection of drinks and treats, customers can come along to our events. We frequently host events to bring people together and get to know each other over our menu and to show off local talent, or to raise money for deserving causes. Our community ethos is at the heart of all of our creations.

Here at Junk and Java, we are all about bringing people together over carefully-crafted hot and cold beverages with some treats along the way. We also bring people together by playing host to a number of fun and social events.
We hold get-togethers such as our popular poetry slam event designed to get our customers sharing their own creativity and meeting likeminded locals. New friendships are formed and people come back together to enjoy one of our hot chocolates or something else from our menu.
We also hosted a Pups and Cups party to bring locals and their four-legged family members together for a fun afternoon of socializing and indulging in delicious treats. Not to forget our support for local young artists by displaying their masterpieces on our walls and organizing various fundraising events for charities. The Rhode Island coffee scene just got more personal!
