(WPRI) - Red roses on Valentine’s Day are beautiful, but there are so many other flowers that you can give.

Joy Rich, owner of FlowerThyme , joined The Rhode Show to show us a sampling of floral arrangements that would really make your valentine blush this year.

Here’s a description of the floral arrangements that FlowerThyme brought in and talked about:

The first is a mix of lush looking flowers in pinks, purples and reds.  While roses are used, Joy shows how to incorporate them – with a unique variety. Arranged in a stylish, mercury glass vase, this is a gift within a gift.

The second is a more wildflower look with loose, natural, and taller stems.  Instead of traditional red roses, spray (or mini) roses adds to the overall English-garden flair that FlowerThyme is best known for.  A piece of burlap wrapped around the vase adds touch of rustic garden, too.

The third is a way to switch up the classic red rose with a different red flower and everyone loves tulips.  Instead of doing traditional Dutch tulips, Joy uses parrot tulips that are luscious and unique. To make it extra special and inspired by the vintage trend, the vase is wrapped with lace to hide the stems.

FlowerThyme offers flowers for every occasion, including daily flower deliveries, holiday bouquets, events and weddings.
