South County Tourism Council has partnered with Yankee Magazine for years and we are pleased to announce the following South County, Rhode Island businesses have been named in Yankee Magazine’s Best of New England 2016:

Best Tourist Hot Spot (and site of Taylor Swift’s Summer Home) – Watch Hill, Westerly

Best Beach – Narragansett Town Beach, Narragansett

Best Cooking Classes – Ocean House Center for Wine & Culinary Arts, Watch Hill

Best Boutique Hotel – The Breezeway Resort, Westerly

Best Riverview Inn – Stagecoach House, Wyoming

Best Coastal Chic – The Break Hotel, Narragansett

Best Lunch – Crazy Burger, Narragansett

Best Sweet Shop – Hauser Chocolate, Westerly

Best To-Go Food – Sandy’s Fine Food Emporium, Westerly

Best Sports Bar – The Rathskellar, Charlestown

Best Breads – Daddy’s Bread, Matunuck

Best RI Clam Chowder – DiMare Restaurant, Bar and Seafood Marketplace, East Greenwich

Also, in the category of “Top 10 RI Events,” South County events accounted for 5 of the top 10:

Misquamicut SpringFest in Westerly; the RI Scottish Highland Festival in Richmond; the Chorus of Westerly Summer Pops Concert, in Westerly; The Annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival in Kingston and the Annual Seafood Festival in Charlestown.
