South County Tourism Council Wins Journalism Award

South County Tourism Council has been recognized by The North American Travel Journalists Association for its editorial excellence. NATJA is the premier professional association of writers, photographers, editors, and tourism professionals dedicated to redefining professional development for the travel industry. The association awarded the South County Style Vacation Planner with its prestigious Award of Merit in the Best Travel Magazine category.

In a letter to Myrna George, president of South County Tourism Council, the association's president, Helen Hernandez, said that the South County Style Vacation Planner �exemplifies your talent and creativity as well as the depth and breath of your experience in travel journalism.� The South County Style Vacation Planner was selected from nearly 500 entries.

It is tremendous that our vacation planner has been honored on a national level and that our promotional efforts have been recognized as a necessary tool in promoting South County�, said Myrna George, President of South County Tourism Council.
