Attendees at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday walk along a new loop trail at Black Point in Narragansett that expands public access to the shoreline and improve views to the ocean. The trail begins at the parking lot for fishing access on Ocean Road and heads to a rocky stretch of coast. The project was funded by a $37,000 grant from the R.I. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration's Recreational Trails Program to the De La Salle Christian Brothers, along with private donations.
