South County Tourism Council�s 7th Annual Photo Contest winners were unveiled on August 20th at the Courthouse Center for the Arts, 3481 Kingstown Road, West Kingston, during a wine and cheese reception and presentation of cash prizes totaling over $1,000.  1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and 5 Runner Up�s were awarded.  10 Honorable Mentions were also recognized.

Steve Wood won first place with �Reflected Sunset� taken in South Kingstown. Nate Bousquet won second place with �Towers in Winter� taken in Narragansett.  Third place winner, Collin McCarron, captured, �URI Sailing Club� from South Kingstown.  Listed alphabetically, the 5 Runner Ups were Tammy Anderson, G. Casey, Alicia Dauksis, Judi Wood, and Steve Wood.  Photographers who had received �Honorable Mentions� were Susan Cannon-Carlson, Franca Cirelli, Gerry R. Grabowski, Ingrid Mathews, Eric Wertheimer, Judi Wood, Steve Wood, and Betty Zhang.  Photographs will remain on display at the Courthouse Center for the Arts until September 10th.

Deb Stallwood, of Charlestown, photographer and board member to the Courthouse Center for the Arts, was challenged to judge this years contest winners from over 300 winning photographs submitted.  Karen Cooke, Marketing/Program Manager provided the Council�s program contest support with excellent coordination and grace.
