The 49th Annual Wickford Art Festival, July 9 & 10, leads into the festival season with 250 artists exhibiting their artwork. Visitors can stroll the seaside Colonial village along Brown and Main Streets perusing the architecture and first-class artwork.
Choose between the clouds or terra firma at the 33rd Annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival July 22-24, URI Athletic Fields, Rt. 138, Kingston. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band kick off the weekend as the balloons glow in the night sky.
A 10-mile road race and seafood festival accompany the 40th Annual Blessing of the Fleet July 29, 30, Narragansett. This event originated as a ceremony asking for “Divine Protection” and has blossomed into a weekend-long celebration of the sea and its delicious bounty.
