Wakefield, RI Your wedding could be stress-free, simple, affordable and close to home. To help with the planning, the South County Bridal Show has a few ideas in mind.
The second annual event, known for the one-on-one time it provides for wedding vendors and their clients, is scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2009 at The Towers, 35 Ocean Road in Narragansett, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Some of South Countys finest vendors in the wedding industry, from Amalfi Fine Catering in Narragansett, to Three Sisters Boutique in Exeter, will be there, in a small, intimate setting, which is ideal for those who need their myriad number of wedding questions and concerns addressed.
The event will be hosted by The South County Tourism Council and Southern New England Weddings. Wedding specialists will be on hand to assist brides, grooms and their families in every detail.
Attendees can view displays of beautiful wedding sites, talk with caterers and sample their food, see portfolios by outstanding photographers and videographers, and admire gowns displayed by strolling models.
In return for coming, guests will be entered into a drawing for a bridal gown and other prizes. Brides will receive a complimentary copy of the South County Wedding Planner and the 2009 issue of Southern New England Weddings magazine.
South County wedding vendors from East Greenwich to Westerly include A Airline Express Limousine & Car Service, Amalfi Fine Catering, Campany & Thornton Fine Jewelry, The Coast Guard House Restaurant, Dahl Video, Eventfully Planned, Flowerthyme, Meadow Brook Inn, Melissa Ashley Brides, Moondance Productions, Music Mixers DJ Entertainment, Nanas Gelato, Seth Jacobson Photography, Shelter Harbor Inn, Susan Sancomb Photography, The Towers, Three Sisters Boutique, Waldorf Tuxedo, Weedweavers, West Bay Gourmet, and more.
For those couples who are considering a wedding in Southern Rhode Island, whether its at the Towers of Narragansett or the Meadowbrook Inn, URIs Whispering Pines or Dr. Kinneys Azalea Gardens, the bridal show should be worth their attention. The shows aim is to highlight South County as an ideal place for a destination wedding, rehearsal dinner or shower, because unlike some regions in New England, it has remained both affordable and distinctive.
Weddings continue to be smaller, more intimate ceremonies, according to Southern New England Weddings. Outdoor weddings with tents in parks, beaches and backyards are growing in popularity, as is the inclusion of cultural traditions. Myrna George, president of South County Tourism Council added, In that spirit, this bridal show is the states best event of the year, for those who want wedding dreams to fit their real-world budgets.
