Charlestown, RI – August 14, 2024 – South County Tourism Council is thrilled announce not only has the council won a “Best of Rhode Island” award from RI Monthly for the Thomas Dambo Trolls in the “Best Tourist Attraction” category, but 57 other businesses in the region also were named “Best of Rhode Island.”
“We are so honored to receive a “Best of Rhode Island” award for the Thomas Dambo Trolls,” says South County Tourism President, Louise Bishop. “We worked since pre-pandemic to bring these phenomenal, recycled wood sculptures and their message of environmental conservation to the region and the recognition means a lot. We’re also so excited to see so many other South County businesses get recognized, both by the RI Monthly editors, and by readers. We’re super thrilled for our friends at Margin Street Inn that received the recognition for Best Hotel/Inn statewide by the readers.”
