Charlestown, R.I. – One of the golden ticket winners of South County Tourism Council’s Golden Ticket Getaway wishes to donate her prize to an essential healthcare worker. Nominations are welcome.

Anna Troiano, of Connecticut, won one of the South County, Rhode Island getaway packages from purchasing one of the winning chocolates bars made by Hauser Chocolatier for the tourism council. Proceeds from the sale of the bars went to support the Chorus of Westerly Summer Pops. Ms. Troiano won the first prize package that includes a two-night stay at the Margin Street Inn, a HeliBlock southern coast tour, a $50 gift card to Amigos Taqueria and a $25 gift card to B&B Dockside. Ms. Troiano’s family has a summer house in South County and she would like to donate the prize to an essential healthcare worker who deserves a little vacation after working so hard this past year.  "I was so lucky to win the Golden Ticket! I'm thrilled to pay it forward to an essential worker who makes sacrifices every day. They deserve a special weekend at a beautiful, waterfront inn," Anna Troiano told us.

Nominations including the proposed recipients name, a short paragraph as to why they deserve the prize and contact info for them are welcome! Please submit your nominations to with the subject line Golden Ticket Donation Nomination by April 15th.  Ms. Troiano will choose the winner and we will notify them by May 1st.

“We are touched by Anna Troiano’s generosity,” says Louise Bishop, President of South County Tourism Council. “We are sure it won’t be easy to find just one deserving essential healthcare worker – they are all deserving. We hope the recipient will enjoy and relax in South County whenever they choose to redeem their prize.”
