Charlestown Naval Airfield Memorial

The fomer site of a Naval Auxiliary Landing Field the memorial honors 61 pilots who died here.  Located in Charlestown, Rhode Island It was a satellite airfield to the nearby Quonset Naval Air Station. It is located within the boundaries of the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge in Charlestown.
