New England Wireless & Steam Museum

  • The New England Wireless and Steam Museum was founded in 1960 and is dedicated to preserving the beginnings of radio and steam power. The museum has one of the largest displays of operational stationary steam engines, including the only George H. Corliss engine running under steam. Rhode Island was a technology center in the 19th century so many of the steam engines that are on display were manufactured locally.
