  • Quonnie Farms is a family run, Rhode Island farm with on-site stand. The Jackson family has been growing top quality produce for over 40 years at their farm Burnside Acres in Green Hill, Rhode Island. We sold our sweet corn and specialty vegetables at The Farmer's Wagon in Charlestown for 38 seasons. Kat Jackson and her husband Blake Holland moved their stand to the West Beach Road location in 2011 and are thrilled to provide our customers with the finest produce of South County on the gorgeous Quonochontaug property. We love to show our fans our professional farming methods and the beauty that years of experience and attention to detail can create on the farm. We promise you can see and TASTE the difference! Quonnie Farms uses both organic and conventional methods of growing with a sustainable and conscientious focus. We are a family farm committed to protecting our family, our land and our community by using a combination of farming practices which protect local biodiversity and waterways, and provide healthy food. We work closely with local environmental agencies such as the Southern Rhode Island Conservation District to develop and maintain our best practices to protect the food we produce, our community and our environment. The little red farm stand at Quonnie Farms has been a South County, Rhode Island institution for nearly 30 years. The original owners, Woody & Nicole Wooding, passed the stand onto us in 2011. What started as a summer job for the current farmers, Blake Holland & Kat Jackson, has blossomed into a passion, career, and marriage! Kat and Blake still farm Burnside Acres, Kat’s nearby 20-acre family farm, and produce sweet corn and a huge variety of specialty vegetables for sale at the Quonnie Farms stand. Since 2014, they have made many improvements on the Quonnie Farms property, including improving and expanding blueberry and cut flower production, building two new greenhouses and a workshop, and expanding the retail operation to include a wider selection of top quality, locally sourced or produced specialty foods, sundries, plants and produce from like-minded producers. In September of 2020, Quonnie Farms broke ground on a new post and beam barn which will be our new home on the next part of our journey. Our new farm kitchen will supply our stand with year round from-scratch bakery and seasonally-focused farm-to-table prepared foods. We plan to offer a year-round, local farm market and bakery to supply our community with the highest quality foods.
