URI Textile Gallery

The Textile Gallery is located on the first floor of Quinn Hall at the University of Rhode Island. It opened in 1999 after a period of fundraising and renovation. It serves as a showcase for items from the Department’s Historic Textile and Costume Collection in the one or two exhibitions mounted annually. Developing exhibitions is an invaluable experience for the Department’s graduate students as they work towards careers in museums, historical societies, and conservation labs. The Gallery is open weekdays from 8:30 to 4:30 during the academic year. Call to confirm at other times (401-874-4574).
