Here are some ways to celebrate and catch some fireworks in South County, RI this Fourth of July!
1. Ocean House Independence Day Beach Ball
Celebrate the birth of our nation in style at Ocean House’s Annual Independence Day Beach Ball. Enjoy a classic New England lobster boil offering the best of fresh summertime seafood, inspired sides and specialty desserts. Cocktails, beer, and house wine included. The evening’s main event, of course, is our spectacular fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean.

2. Weekapaug Inn Independence Day Family Carnival

3. Narragansett Family Beach Day & Fourth of July Celebration
Free concert and fireworks display at 9 p.m. Narragansett Town Beach, 79 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Check website for details. Concerts at North Beach Clubhouse: Brass Force Band, 2 - 4 pm.and US Coast Guard Band, 6:30 - 8 pm. Rain date: July 5. More details.
4. Independence Day Celebration at Old Mountain Field
The South Kingstown Recreation Commission and Parks and Recreation Department are extremely pleased to announce that the Town’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Old Mountain Field, in Wakefield, will take place this year, when celebrating freedom and independence takes on a whole new meaning. The festivities will start at 5:30pm and feature a live concert by Take it to the Bridge , followed by a spectacular fireworks display at approximately 9pm The public is invited to bring their blankets and folding chairs, to relax and sing along with the band, dance, and celebrate in the park. Because of the expected crowds, attendees who have not been vaccinated are encouraged to wear face coverings if in close contact with others. Attendees are reminded that alcohol is prohibited in the park; and for this event pets should be left at home. This program is free of charge, however donations will be accepted to defray some of the costs; and a 50/50 raffle will be held immediately before the fireworks. In the event of cancellation due to rain, the program will take place on Monday, July 5th. More details.
5. Rhode Island Red chick hatch at South County Museum
A rare opportunity to see and hold newly hatched RI Red baby chicks from the RI Red Heritage Flock. Every year, on the Fourth of July, the South County Museum's flock of RI Reds hatch. It's a great event for kids and adults.

6. Misquamicut Drive-In Theater
See Independence Day at the Misquamicut Drive-In Theater starring Will Smith. What better way to celebrate the Fourth than catching an all-American movie by the beach in the comfort of your own vehicle.
